Pirate Beach
Gusarica Beach is the largest and most famous beach in Komiža, located on its northern outskirts, just a few minutes walk from the town center. It is easily accessible, so you can get there by car, bicycle, scooter or on foot. It was named after the nearby church of St. Mary, known as Gospa Gusarica, built in the sixteenth century, which rises above the beach and gives it a special historical and visual touch.
This spacious pebble beach is characterized by fine, light pebbles and a shallow entrance to the sea, which makes it an ideal choice for family vacations, children and the elderly. It is surrounded by greenery, pine trees, tamarisks and carob trees that provide pleasant natural shade and create a relaxing Mediterranean atmosphere.
Gusarica Beach is fully equipped and equipped with all necessary amenities: showers, changing cabins, toilets, access and elevator for people with disabilities, as well as the possibility of renting deck chairs and kayaks. There are cafes, snack bars and restaurants along the beach, and in the immediate vicinity there is the Biševo Hotel and two diving centers. Thanks to its beauty, well-maintained surroundings and proximity to the city, Gusarica is the center of summer life in Komiža because it is the perfect place for swimming, relaxing, evening walks and enjoying sunsets with the smell of the sea and the sound of the waves.
